re-read this post I had to edit a glitch on my part. sorry. got caught up on your Tahoe again.

HB298Y.787 was the front k1500 burb with 11" drums which is what it should have. HB296Y.670 appears to be linked to the diesel powertrain with 11" drums. the HB332Y.654 is just the typical standard front disc brake pad so no police package. I use the 654's on my 4dr Tahoe but I use the super duty version (HB332P.654) in the red colored box and have been for a while. you get more stopping power from it and as for dust you don't notice much unless you just don't wash the vehicle regularly. I have not had any other one that can hold up as much to my braking.

it looks to me like the 787's are linked to the k2500 8-lug with 13" drums. This what I have so far. getting lost in the specs.
