If someone has to take there brake system to the dealer to fix it it is probably because that got air trapped in the ABS hydraulic modulator that the dealer can actuator bleed out. Look hard for the access holes they are there but you will have to finish the punch out.

This, I could never bleed the air out. Had to use a vacuum to draw the fluid through the system

I also have no knock out for the adjuster. I blame teh "self adjusting" concept. Rear brakes are supposed to adjust when braking in reverse.

Same soft sinking pedal. Can't make short hard stops without white knuckles!! I'm original owner and do my own repairs. I have 25 yrs. maint. background. Brakes have allways been basic step by step jobs with great results. This issue with this Tahoe must have a more complex fault that should be well known since so many people are describing the same problem! I had a guy use a scan tool and run ABS Funtion TEST and it checked OK and No CODES. I ask dealerships for advise and the first thing they want is money for Diagnostic Tests. Is there anyone that has fixed this and can say You must take this step to fix this problem???

I have the same issue, my pedal goes down pretty damn far, but its been like that for years. My hoe still stops the same as it always did, and since i have my ABS deactivated I can even lock up the tires. Nobody here is using cheap/organic pads right?

Honestly, you'd have better luck with some mulch glued to your pads than those organic POS.

But back to the brake issue, can the rubber lines really make that big of a difference? Mine are 11 yrs old now, perhaps time for a change?
