Brakes losing power assist

During braking in traffic (numerous light applications) I lose power to the brakes. I can still brake but only after applying heavy pressure on the pedal. Specially happens when in reverse. After only applying the brakes a couple times I lose all power assist.
I have a mechanical warranty from the dealer(platinum) but you know how they still try to scam out of it.

The new trucks have vacuum assist, correct? Sounds like a bad booster. How many miles on the truck? Already out of 3/36 warranty I take it? If you have a "mechanical" extended warranty, the power brake booster should be on it...

Yes. I have extended warranty from dealer. Can't wait for them to try to scam out of it though or charge me for something that has nothing to do with the issue.

Yeah, that's not an optimal position to be in. Hopefully they play it straight, but dealers will be dealers...

extended warranty, it's insurance plain and simple. read the fine print, oh you have a pre-existing condition or some ******** like that!!
