I finally got some 22s and its time to get some new rotors and pads. Not because they don't work but because they squeak like hell (dealer said, brakes are fine, but they will squeak and nothing I can do on the current set) and because they look like crap. SO, anybody bought from brake overstock off ebay. Particularly these http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRONT-REAR-C...CModel:Tahoe

All advice is appreciated.

I also went with Hawk pads ,with stock rotors. No complaints. I do have R1 concepts rotors and pads still in the box. Will put them on in the future.

A previous owner (actually I think it was the dealer I bought it from) put brake pads on mine that sequel like a son of a gun. I do not hear it inside normally, but it hurts my ears when I have the windows down... I personally have had great luck with ceramic pads...

What version of Hawk pads are you running? How is the brake dust?

I ran the Hawk LTS series on my 04 Avalanche and they dusted considerably more than stock, but they braked waaaaay better and were quiet.

I am running a Wilwood BBK on my Denali, but we have SSBC Big Bites with Hawk on our Silverado, and EBC brakes on the TBSS.

What style of style of rotor does everyone recommend? Drilled? Slotted? Drilled and slotted? OE?

I have a set of slotted & drilled rotors on my 87 Firebird formula and have had no problems with them and they have been on there since 2002... However I have heard people say that the drilled rotors can crack easier from hole to hole than those that are undrilled.

I just noticed on Baer Brakes website that they offer a 1" OS rotor conversion for our trucks. About $1200  for all four wheels http://baer.com/EradiSpeed-Rotors-GMT900-SUV/

Yea, I've heard the same about drilled rotors as well. Some companies don't chamfer the holes and cracks will develop.
