I think one thing most people do is not season the rotors and bed the pads correctly... There is a process to go through that will help both last longer and stop better.

That is why I went to Baer's website, I was hoping to get the document I got when I installed my brakes on my Formula...

If you stick with stock rotors, then I would suggest Akebono brake pads. I had a GMC 2500 D-Max and I put the Akebono PRO-ACT pads on it and the difference was amazing. Not once did I have brake dust on my wheels and they are the quietest pads I have ever run. When my Suburban needs pads, these are the ones that I will go with for sure. A good friend of mine is the manager of a Grismer Tire which is a local but large tire shop that also does mechanic work and he suggested these pads. The part number for my 2014 Suburban is the Akebono ACT1363 but I don't know if that will be the same for your Tahoe, but "should" be.
