I've been using Sunoco 93 and getting on average 11.8-12.1MPG mostly local driving. Switched this morning to Exxon 93 and we'll give it 2 fill-ups and see if I notice a difference.

Mmm, not sure why you believe the brand of gas will make any difference in mpg.

Most gas stations within an area, regardless of brand, are serviced by the same pipelines and more often than not are served by the same distributor. Different companies do add additives but that is heavily regulated by the EPA so they basically all have the same additives marketed under different names.

My suspicion is that any fluctuation you might observe will be due to driving variance more than whose fuel you use.

I used to think the same thing until Justin did the tune on our Burban and noted that the octane gas we were using from BP wasn't burning how it should be.

I get my gas from Quiktrip (use 89 or 91 octane in the Burb) and have always had good luck with it. Not sure what the actual brand of the gas is, though, as they obviously by from a supplier.

I watched a segment on tv that showed different stations have better quality thus giving you better mpg. Not sure how true bit Bp was one of there better and so was quick trip. I used to buy wawa gas in when I lived in nj and my cars would stall out so I do think it matters. If I can recall sunoco was the best.

I use Chevron 91 when possible.

Recently averaged 18 on a 7000 mile trip from Cal to Florida and back. Almost all highway miles.

X2!! i did my own test the other day. i drove till my "low fuel" light went on and put in $20 of arco(BP). i only got 52 miles out of it. as soon as my light went on again i put $20 of mobile, 75 miles out of it. same drive more or less as i did trips to my dads house over the week end to work on his house and for bqq. same people in car, similar weather. i do have a BB tune and use 89 octane as per my tune
