In backing down my brother in law's driveway I managed to miss almost everything. What I failed to miss is the front part of his gooseneck camper. It took out the right rear window on my Tahoe.

It's dark tinted glass - not a film - and I notice has defroster wires in it. My insurance deductible is $1000 so I guess I'll be paying this out of pocket. Anybody have words of wisdom on this? I live in East Tennessee. East of Knoxville.

Thanks.

Go to the local wrecking yard and pull one off a truck there. Probably $100 ? Or so. They will know the interchange on what vehicles to take it off of. But anything your body style should fit. And you can do it your self in a few min. Good luck

Sorry to hear it.

Right rear window----those wires are not defroster wires; they are your radio antenna.

Thanks guys. Antenna. Of course. I'll check the wrecking yards. What do I glue it on with?

Just to finish off this thread; I got a new window for around $200 at the local junkyard. Looking at how to get the old glass out then trying to understand the glue to put the new one back and any special tools I might need scared me. I went to a local glass shop who charged me $100 to clean things up and install the new glass.

While I had that window out I pushed some of the clips I could reach out to make that easier. When I got home I pulled the panels inside and vacuumed out a LOT of broken glass. It made me wonder if this was the first time that window got broken.

Looks good as new. The new glass had the locator pins still on it that the glass shop said was rare and had the right antenna in the glass.
