my driver side rear chromie broke at the front mount,

is this pretty common?
in other words, should I just buy the new set of 4, and expect them all to crack & splinter, like the Dash pad?

any advice on the install?

I thought I saw a thread on this for NNBS, but searches showed only older trucks, ??

Very common. I've replaced three of four doors so far. Its only the chrome handles for whatever reason.

Your dealer should cover this as it is VERY common.

Yep I replaced both front and rear on driver side. It was before the 36k warranty was up so it was free. Like ScSS said... very common issue.

nah, I am out of warranty

my SUV is all black, the chrome handles really set it off, so I guess i will just order a whole set, and replace them as they break :(

my buddy was looking at buying a 2008 Tahoe this week, and the dash was DESTROYED, and I told him about the door handles breaking off.

he got him a nice Mazda :)

Makes me glad I went with chrome covers instead of OEM chrome handles...love the look and quality of my eBay specials!

But at the end of the day you just put stick on chrome plastic (that you can clearly tell are stick on) on a very expensive vehicle... OEM chrome FTW :Handshake:

Yeah, I can, but they do look good...i'll get some two week update pics up Tuesday...going down the road or in the parking lot they look just fine! And up close they still look great! I really was very surprised at how well they fit.

I'm not glad that my handles are the painted version. For them to break so quickly before the ride is very old is pretty ridiculous IMO....
