You can get with a box builder on one of the car audio websites and buy a set of plans for maybe $30 and build it yourself. Good decision on the 0 gauge. I'm not a fan of cca but its better than 4 gauge. I believe 4 gauge has a max current of 150 amps and 250 for the 0 gauge cca so it should be a good choice for your system. Ofc is pricey. I paid $4/ft for RF 0 gauge.

yeah thats what the knu ofc cost also. i realized everyone you talk to has their own opinion on power wire and it really comes down to your budget and your system.

are you talking about buying premade plans from a car audio company or actually talking to a builder and having the plans custom made for my exact subs? i would like to find someone on here who enjoys designing boxes and toss some ideas around. maybe i'll look around on a dedicated car audio forum...

For designing a sub box you should check out www.PWKdesigns.com He designed a box for me about a month ago for my new system that I just finished up in my truck. The box he designed me sounds awesome for sure! He charges like $55.

what was the turn around time for getting those blue prints? i looked on his website and it looked like people are submitting request forms and not getting any replies. looks like a legit designer though.

Not to down any companies but if you know what style box you want to go with (sealed, ported, 4th order, etc.) you can download one of the free programs like torres or winisd and crunch some numbers and design a box on your own and you can use Cad or google sketch up to get a visual idea of what it would look like. This is what I normally do. My last box I designed this way then I had a guy build it since I didn't have a shop or tools and it turned out great. just my $.02 :challenge:
