I just use dish soap and a small short-bristled brush I keep by the sink. Scrubs it all off every time and no mixing required!

Thats why you don't wear your Rockauto shirt under the truckOh - They have been there.
We usually use a slurry made up of Dawn dish soap and granulated sugar to clean up. The Dawn breaks up the grease and the sugar granules are a great scouring agent that doesn't sting. Learned that from an old timer at my first job about 22 years ago. Stuff works great.
Even leaves your hands nice and soft in case you need to perform some hands-on activities later that night.
I don't recommend the laundry detergent unless you are in a pinch but the powder worked best. I remember goop! a can of goop and a couple shop rags and you could be in good shape.I've never heard of these degreasing methods before. When I was younger and at home I'd use Goop(Father had it) or I'd use dish detergent.
My brush does a good job of spraying my dirty soap all over everywhere!I just use dish soap and a small short-bristled brush I keep by the sink. Scrubs it all off every time and no mixing required!

And don’t forget WD-40 works excellent. I use it in the garage constantly on my hands along with paper towels and also to remove the majority of grease before I head to the sink. And it doesn’t smell too bad. I hate wearing gloves or safety glasses- I had to wear that shit at work for so many years. We had to wear gloves all the time unless we absolutely couldn’t do the task. Safety glasses, hard hat, hi-vis vest, gloves, boots, safety harness and tie off if over 6’ off the floor and the final straw was a mask since Covid. I would work naked at home if it wasn’t weird.
