Uhh, yes, my size 13's do a great job of putting the pedal to the floor, and the truck makes over 340 HP at the tires. Most of the time, it just hooks up solid and goes, traction control or not. Anything that gets them loose like a little water or a turn and it will cook 'em hard. A lot depends on your gears too. Anything with 3.08's will need a lot of help to get it started, but will make good wheel speed if you can get them spinning somehow. 3.73's help, but then your wheel speed is lower. My truck (all 6.2's) come with 3.42's.

With 3.42's a (slow spinning) burnout is possible on smooth pavement, but my 2008 with 4L60 wouldn't do so until after being tuned. My 2011 with the 6L80 and 3.42's could do it stock, but has a steeper 1st gear. Either way our heavier/larger diameter wheels and tires make it even more difficult...

Agreed. I'm running factory CK798's and they're very heavy. Add in the factory rear locker and it's not that easy to break them loose, but it's possible. Any road with less than great traction and they will fry if you really want to put $100 worth of rubber down.

Do you have one of the rare 09 Tahoe's with the 6.2L?
