Yes, both 6.2 AND 5.3 have the issues. And simply disabling the AFM (DFM as it's called these days) doesn't eliminate the problem, as the parts are still in the engine. It seems a fair number of 6.2's failing are spinning rod bearings/spitting rods out the engine, not just issues with the lifters/cam with the DFM system.I didn't know the issue was only on the 6.2s I thought the 5.3s also had the same issues. Interesting. I don't know why I thought that.
