I have the 6.2 in my Denali XL AWD, which I had in for service recently. They loaned me a Yukon SLE with the 5.3. There is no comparison. The 6.2 blows it away. The 5.3 feels like it is trying too hard and always downshifting. However, the 5.3 used much less fuel 17MPG vs. 12MPG in mine.

Yeah- I did a 2,000 mile road trip in a suburban with the 6.2 (4WD) and even with driving for mileage it averaged only 12-14 mpg on the interstate. It was a pig! I range from 17 to 21 mpg in my 5.3 2WD hoe.

The Tahoe is my daily driver. So I did not even consider a Denali or Escalade. I have another car thats much faster than any NNBS.

Really depends on your situation. With that much more HP and torque, of course its going to be faster. If that's all that matters, its an easy decision.
