BYE BYE SIDE MOLDING>>HOW TO/PICS on removing side moldings

I debated taking mine off 3 years ago, but was afraid it wouldn't look right being that there is no body line in the lower part of the door like the 00-06's. I debadged it but left the moldings on..well that was until yesterday...went out and ripped them right off...used some Xylene to wipe it clean of residue...they were actually starting to fade...gone now and looks much cleaner.

I like the way it looks with it on and off. I think some colors look better with it off than others. Thats just my opinion though. I used some fishing cord to cut away the glue holding the moldings to the door. Then some wonderful stuff called Goof Off... It makes it much easier to wash and wax now. Looks good though. Now all I need is a good drop kit. Anyone recommend a certain company/brand and what would be a good size to do as well. Thanks.

Very good job. No problems with the paint? I prefer the moldings myself, but I have the chrome also. It looks good, different...

i used a 3m decal/pin stripe remover rubber wheel. The tool is about 20 dollars and carried by must auto body suppiy shops. Way easier then rubbing over the glue back and forth and no chemicals needed just wax.

Don't use the chemicals. Heat gun, and a 3M eraser wheel. wash, wax and you're done. 30 minutes a side.
