Thank you. The retro fit thing says you only need one filter but I'm almost positive my Dads 2001 truck had two.

The filters in that thread are much larger than ones that have been pointed out before or in other threads.

I should be getting all my parts today...

But in the pic, its not over the opening that you slide the filter in. On the factory ones that I have changed, you have one that is directly over the hole and one that is pushed back like the pic he has shows. Most people don't catch the other filter and think the filter kit they bought was a 2 pack. I guess it could be the angle of the picture throwing me off.

In the picture where the filter is partially installed and also where the retro fit cover is installed... you can see it runs the full length of the opening.

There is no more back there as its the end of the structure.

He cut out the entire opening (full length) not just enough to get the smaller filters in like some have done.

If he did only use the small filters the picture where the filter is partially inserted it would only go half way back. The smaller filters need to be slide all the way up before they can be slide back.

Gotcha:Handshake:

Edit:The pic that was throwing me off was taken through the resistor hole. Sorry for the confusion.

This one. I thought that was looking up from where he cut out the plastic...
