Received my Dorman kit from Rock Auto yesterday. Got ready to start knock out the project before a road trip this weekend. Discovered that the kit I received did not come with the retaining screw to hold the cover in place. It had the filter and the cover but just missing the screw. The box didn't appear do be damaged in any way during shipping. Judging from the pics of the kit on their site the screw is included with the kit. Just curious if I'm actually missing the piece for this or something I'm suppose to source on my own?? Did you guy that purchased this receive the screw with your kit??

I've contacted Rock Auto just waiting to here back from them as to what they are going to do.

Yea mine had the screw taped to the box. No biggie it's a1/4 number fender style screw. Any small screw will work. Actually I wanted to change it to a Philips head so I don't have to find a 1/4 ratchet every time.

Use a pick to score the groove first. I actually used a tool that is used to etch out grout but any pick will work. It helps make the cut easier big time. The third screw on the cover under the center does not need to come out. I lowered mine and got it in with no problem with the screw still installed.

I found a carpet knife in the garage. It worked perfectly for scoring and cutting that piece out. I was done in no time. About 45 min. start to finish
