Unfortunately, Banks' filters are made by K&N in such a configuration that you have to purchase replacements if needed from them. They are the same wet gauze filter material the is used with K&N intakes.

I see what you're saying, but why would I ever need a replacement? You take it out, clean it and recharge it. I can't see how or why one would fail. Plus this link shows better results than others on here, granted different vehicle, but same concept.

I wasn't saying DON'T run them. I was stating the faact that those that don't like the K&N due to the filter media will have the same issue with the Banks. I actually run a K&N drop in filter in mine, but, when I have replaced mine in the past, (each time I get a new truck) I clean and recharge it right from the start because I has issues with that years ago and figured out that if I just went ahead and cleaned it from the start, I had less issues.

Over charging the filter media after cleaning is an extremely common issue with the, even from the factory...

Good info. Need to recharge mine soon so I'll be sure to go easy on the charging fluid.
