You would have to provide a link to it or more information on the brand of intake, etc so that we can know what intake you are referring to and the pricing, etc.

A bunch of guys here including me have that intake. I`ve had mine for over two years with no problems at all.

The only change i made was i switched to an AEM dry air filter only because i got a great deal on it. There is noting wrong with the spectre filters.

I got mine for $117 at jegs.com but the price has gone up and is $150 too.

I really didn`t feel any difference in power but i wasn`t expecting any.

I never really heard a difference in sound because i had a catback exhaust on before the CAI. The only time i hear anything is when you stomp the pedal you can hear the air suck into the filter.

I`m sure it gave some horsepower but i love the way it looks over that ugly ass stock filter housing and inlet tubes. It also makes working on the fornt of the engine much easier especially with E-fans.

I have the same filter on my truck and car. It adds some throttle response but it is the sound that makes people look. This coupled with a cat back system does add fun factor to these pigs. Don't be scared of the local auto parts store. My local O'Reily's had my truck one in stock and on sale for $120 about a year ago and my Mustang was through Jegs for $120ish with mail in rebate.
