Cam shaft sensors

Both of the codes for the cam shaft sensors popped up in my check engine light. My mechanic told me while neither is absolutely necessary, there is one that is easy to replace and one that is in the middle of the engine...?

Can anyone help that has done either or recommend whether they are necessary to replace!?!?!

This is on my 07.5 Burb in the my sig. Thanks!

there should only be one sensor. it's on the front (timing) cover. you'll need to remove the water pump to get to it, but that's not very hard.
