I've heard about the tune. I wonder if I can run it for awhile using the 4.8 pcm. But I'm getting the 6.0 computer with it, so I'm guessing it should be fine.

Where can I do that? I'm sure the dealer is expensive. Would/could it run on the 4.8 tune for awhile?

When I swapped to my 6.0 the tunner said I would run lean. I am sure with the 4.8 you would run rich. But imo I would try to stay with a 5.3. The 4.8 is under powered in out trucks. The 5.3 and a small cam will be a huge difference and should be affordable. I know how expensive the 6.0 swap can be. Just finished mine this summer but got a lot of luck on some smoken deals. Kijji is a local or Canadian site to sell stuff. I just found aLQ4 for $550.

That's cheap for sure. At $850 complete with 111,000 on it, how can I pass it up?

Anyone have a link so I can check specs on the differences between the motors, injector size etc. Tia
