Can I swap the rear parking system from 2005 Escalade ESV into 2004 Yukon XL?

I've got both trucks. Love the rear parking sensor (especially interior light display, more than the chimes) from the 2005 Escalade ESV Platinum... but I'd rather keep and drive my 2005 Yukon XL Quadrasteer for the next 5-10 years. Can I move over the OEM rear parking system?

Assume I drill the GMC rear bumper to accept the Caddy parking sensors? Note the Caddy is a 1500 and the Quadrasteer Yukon is a 2500 series, so the height is not exactly right (the Yukon rear bumper is higher) and the stereo and nav systems are different... both Bose but the Caddy is "lux" and the Yukon is "non lux" Bose, different head units etc, so I am not sure if the wiring harnesses integrate and/or the audio chimes will work right.

Anybody done this before and KNOW the answer?

In related news if anybody wants a 2005 Escalade ESV Platinum with 165k miles, a bad transfer case and no rear parking system... TBD... well then you know where to find me. :) I'm asking less than it's worth to part out, and less than it's worth private party.

Cheers,
Isaac in SF Bay / San Jose area

OK I am diving into this swap now, after getting the Lux stereo swapped over. If anybody has any tips, holler back!

not sure what you will get into, have you found wiring diagrams for the system? im doing something sort of similar - im using an escalade bumper assembly and using an aftermarket sensor system and creating my own factory/modded sort of system, with warning beeper and video. you may run into some wiring issues, but if you can sort them out and find the right documents, i think you will be good to go. as for your height issue, you may want to consider putting a -slight- angle on the sensors so they poing just slightly more towards the ground. might take a little experimenting once you have it set up to get it tweaked.
