A friend of mine who works on boats and I were talking about a fueling issue my 350 in the 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe my wife drives is having. The fuel injector spider assemble is leaking causing poor mpg, a skip, and very slow start. I know some of the 4.3 Vortec guys swap to the marine style intake for performance and looks if I remember correctly. It's been 10 years since I missed with that engine My question is, has a similar swap been done, what would need to be changed, and what kind of any performance should I expect? We don't have any emissions testing here in Alabama so that isn't an issue. My primary goal is to get the economy back, the vehicle starting as soon as we turn the key, and the power I'm sure it's down. Please let me know what engine I need the intake from, what all I need and once installed what if any changes need to be changed to the engines ECU. The Tahoe is lifted with 32" tires and I need as much power as possible out of it before I go looking for a 14 bolt with 4.11 or 4.56 and regear the front to match.
