I have a 2021 Denali with the retractable running boards. Does anyone know if there is a way to program them to stay in the down position?

Haven't read your owner's manual but on my generation there was a button under the AC controls to keep them extended. I can't imagine yours not having the same somewhere.

Yours is a 2009? I couldn’t find info about it. There is a way to disable them but they would stay in the up position. Service rep told me it couldn’t be done, but there has to be a way???

The answer is yes while not moving, but you can set them to stay down while in a carwash or parked in the driveway through the settings menu (hard to find). Soon as you move to drive they go up.
