I've got a 2016 LT Tahoe sitting on 1100 order status at Dave Smith.

I know you can turn off cylinder deactivation on the C7 Corvettes. How about on the Tahoes?

Thx.

Didn't know about the Rangetech... not bad... I was looking at the Diablosport Intune for $339 for fuel management and additional tune.

Someone posted (don't remember where) if you keep it the transmission in manual mode it will keep the engine in 8 cyl. I tried it by placing it on M8 and it worked for me around town. didn't try it on the freeway.

Ha, with us 6spd guys we gotta put it in Manual and drop it into 5th to lock out AFM. Nice that you 8spd people can still keep all 8 speeds and lock out AFM.

Tried it out again... you have to keep it on M7 to lock it out. M8 goes into V4 mode.

I don't but it is very easy to find.
There is a picture on the box it comes in.
If you start at the steering wheel and go straight down you will see a connector that it gets plugged into.
It does make the truck much more drive-able.

Thanks I appreciate it. Ill probably go with this since it seems the easiest to hook up. The tuners seem nice too, but I would have a clue how to use them.LOL

Honestly....your money ahead to buy a tuner and disable the DOD/AFM...not to mention the other options available. $ 200 for the Range Tech device seems like too much money when for less than $400 you can get a Diablo I Tune 2....IMO.
