This thread was a while back but a few folks were having issues after changing some of the interior lights that had individual switches on them with being dim in certain situations. Ended up being that those of us with this issue resolved everything by switching those lights out with Canbus style lights and all was good! http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/03-tahoe-led-dome-light.34369/

It was a long journey with alot of attempts at fixing the issue but the canbus was the trick in those fixtures!

Interesting. Good to know if the problem ever comes up for me.

Just stumbled upon this thread....and I know its old...buy for those looking to do this simple LED interior upgrade...you actually don't need canbus led bulbs for the LED upgrade or take anything apart. If your interior LED lights are dim just pop a 20a fuse in the driver side fuse panel and the lights will light up nice and bright even when you manually press the map light button while doors are closed or while driving.

I have a 05 tahoe and did not use canbus bulbs in my interior...all I did was swap the 15a fuse for a 20a fuse in the TBC 2A slot in the driver side fuse panel and all my white base (non canbus) LED bulbs light up nice and bright....hope this helps as it's an extremely easy fix for dim LED interior bulbs.
