depends on where you live here in lib-fornia they check the cat's for the c.a.r.b. stamp which has to match the vehicle year/make/model and engine size, so you can't just throw anything on it.

Yep for Cali and... New York? Cali and one other state you've gotta have "50 state legal" converters. Course, that might be expanding. Seems like I heard Maryland or somewhere is starting to do the same. Truthfully I don't really keep up. Doesn't effect me in NE Tenn/SW Virginia yet thankfully.
