Oil life wasn't reset. Turn key on and press gas pedal 3x. It should clear that or if you have A dic you can reset it through that.

I recently am having the same problem except I've reset mine 3 times, I just had the oil changed and it keeps saying it, it also says 0% oil life, the coolant temp is bouncing around, it says engine over heated, A/C turned off, but it doesn't add up because my engine is at 176 degrees, my oil is clean and full, and my coolant is okay. It's like it's throwing false codes. Any help please??

Reprogram the ECU?

I have a question. How does the "oil life" work, or what does it work off of? My first assumption would be from time itself but what if you are running 1 of those new synthetics that go for 1-year, supposedly?

It monitors a number of different engine conditions. It's the stupid kind of "smart". Use your odometer and your dipstick like a boss.

Yeah, I don't trust computers to change my engine oil. I just got out of a truck that was so high maintenance that I opened the hood & physically checked everything on a daily basis. That truck was a 2004 model with a 60's designed Buick V8 and I ran 15w-40 HD Dino motor oil in it. I could tell when it needed to be changed by appearance of oil & sound of engine; usually @ 3,000 miles. Did that for 2-years so I'm anxious about running 1 of these new long-life synthetics in the Yukon. Just gonna roll with a 5w-30 & see what I have on the dipstick as regularly as my OCD will allow.
