I'm about to buy a 96 2-Door Tahoe but I'm not sure if I should look a little harder for a newer (99') model. Would anyone happen to know the benifits of buying a new model? I.E. The changes that were made? Other than the obvious answer = Everythings newer duh!

Thanks peeps!

Hoping to contribute to the forum soon.

What I found in random places...

Revised transmissions, improved steering system and added passenger-side air bag, PassLock security system and full-time AutoTrac 4WD option added, next generation "depowered" air bags, transmissions revised again, Revised steering wheel and improved radiators and transmissions.

There were probably more changes as well.

Thanks for lookin out! The 96' is super clean so I think I'll buy it tomorrow and start throwing some monies at it.

Thanks again!

Anyone know any aesthetic changes?

Forgot to mention, heated seats were offered as an option in 98 and up, but in the two doors that I have seen they are rare.
