Need help. Changing front differential to 3.73 to match rear. Couldn't locate a 3.42 anywhere. Anyway, issue now is the differential i pulled out of same donor vehicle doesn’t have 2 2 wire plugs only actuator plug. Looking all over internet i either find just an actuator plug or a differential with a 4 or 5 wire white plug along with the 2 wire actuator plug. Do i have the unicorn of tahoes? 1st Couldn't find a 3.42 rear now i cant find a 3.73 front differential w 2 2 wire plugs. My question is, CAN I SWITCH THE TUBES?

What year is your vehicle? What year was the donor vehicle?

Did your donor vehicle have push button 4WD select or floor shift 4WD select? What does your vehicle have?

I do believe you can swap out the actuator, but have never done it myself.

Frt. diff. should have wiring for an actuator and an indicator for actuator position. From memory all of the actuators are the same. Give us the year and possibly some pics.
