Check engine light on

seems to come on when i have a half tank of gas or less I fill up and it goes off untill I get half tank then on it comes for the rest of the tank.The last month and 6 fillups every time I tried super unleaded and the cap is on tight any Ideas,

IIRC there was a vent hose that I had to have replaced........had the same issue

Go to AutoZone and have them check the codes (they do it for free, and with just a hand-held module right there in the parking lot). Post the code here. Chances are it's a P0442, which, like hbr said, is probably a bad vent hose. I had to have mine replaced, and it DID clear the code permanently.

^^^^this. Gotta drop the spare tire, and replace the canister. When you do, disconnect the fuel vapor return line from the solenoid by the fuel rail, and blow it out with compressed air From back to front.
