Hello forum members.
Today I had a strange situation on my way to work. I was driving down a hill as normal when I noticed that my engine had completely died. Of course, I had hardly any braking power, and the steering wheel was difficult to turn. However, all my electrical components were on. I can't say whether the check engine light was on, because the problem occurred right around a bend, and I quickly pulled into a parking space. I turned the key back on, and the engine started without any issues, and then stayed on.
Likewise, I myself repair my Tahoe in a workshop in Germany with my colleague, and I know my Tahoe really well. Nevertheless, you cannot know everything, so my question to you, whether you have had this mistake. I am an electrician from a profession and would first think that this is an electrical issue on the ignition lock. Or it is the remote start module that interrupts the electricity here. But shouldn't be, either, because it is only active in the case of ignition key position "0" in park mode.
I still have in my head,
1. crankshaft sensor
2. Alternator
3. bad mass (but all the lights would be off)
4. Petrol pump (but it was exchanged with an AC Delco in 2022),
5. MAF sensor
do you still have an idea? I have currently driven 255000 ml with him, and he never let me down. I would be happy if we could exchange troubleshooting here.
Many greetings from Germany Markus
