Pvd is better than chrome is some ways... it is more susceptible to scratches...... they do polish out easily though.

Best thing I have done for both sets of my wheels is CARPRO DLUX though. It even darkens the color and makes it look more rich.

Thanks for all of the education! I'll order some of that stuff up. I did some browsing on the PVD finish and like you said a lot of good stuff about the finish so I'll calm down and deal with what I bought and do what I can to make them stay nice.

@al2fast

DLUX is great stuff. It has to be applied to a super clean surface though. Look into doing a thorough cleaning then use ERASER.

I mine mine when they were brand new from the box after a alcohol wipedown.

As for the weights I have a ton I think. The weight on each of the individual weight pieces is 7grams and the wheels have these many per wheel: 5, 10, 13, 15. The one with 5 has it on the inside and all the rest are on the outside.

My truck needs a paint cleaning/restoration bad. I have been procrastinating on a detail but will be getting it done soon, so I'm going to inquire what they would put on the wheels as part of their full meal deal detail.

Wheels look nice Lee, way better than when I looked at them on my phone this morning!

So it doesn't appear that the wheels have an excessive amount of weight due to the weight of the overall package. I just need to stop back in at discount tire and have them take a spin and see what they say. Maybe it's as simple as the stupid gorilla lug nuts not centering the wheels right and I should try the ones that came with the wheels or even the stock ones. Maybe just too **** with the still new to me ride and tie noise. Too bad one of you guys are not closer so I could get a test ride on another 22" setup.

Just ordered up some true ck156 replicas from eBay (from a different guy though) for my 2015 Yukon. I'll be getting the Bridgestone's too. I'm really hoping for a smooth ride. I had the older Cadillac 22's on my '07 suburban with the Bridgestone's and thought the ride was awesome. I'll update you as to how they're riding once I get them installed. It'll probably be next week that I'll get them all mounted up.

@al2fast Thank you buddy
@LekGMC they are still made by OE wheels llc. That's the only outfit making the ck156. Sierra reps are made by a few companies.

Go ahead and buy DLUX now

Oh, about the finish... I'm actually getting the machine face/black background one's but going to get them powdercoated completely black.

I'm just a little concerned about the issues with balancing/the ride...

Does balancing and the ride seem to be a common problem with OE wheels? Maybe these OE 156 replicas? I'm really hoping its not a trend.

Why didn't you just order them in black if you were going to do that? :think:
