We just did my brother in law's S10, and its the same way for the tahoe. heres what we did, we got 2 cans of seafoam and filled the tank. once parked, we used about 1/2 of one can in the vacuum line
he held down the accelerator to about 1500 rpm for a minute or so while i let the vacuum line sip off the seafoam. you dont want to let it have too much or itll stall out. after a minute, the car seemed to keep itself at around 2k rpms. when 1/2 of the can was gone, kill the engine by shutting it off with the key while still letting it sip the seafoam. careful cuz the vacuum will stop and some seafoam will spray out at you. then we poured the whole other can into the gas tank. then we let it sit for 2 hours so the seafoam can soak into the buildup (i've read online about doing it between 20 mins and 2 hours, but we had nothing else to do). then we just started up the truck, there wasnt too much smoke so it must have not been too dirty, and we drove around gunning it for like 20 mins. i asked him a couple days later how it was running and he said it's a lot smoother and his check engine light doesnt come on when he floors it.
