Clock Spring Replacement Help

I am replacing the clock spring in my 2005 Denali and need help on how to disconnect a connector. In the pictures is the large one with the grey handle, I assume you push the handle back like I have in the 1st picture but then how does it disconnect? YT videos I watched didnt help much.

Yeah I moved to where the 1st photo is (I got the photos out of sequence). So when I started the grey bar was up and I pushed it down but I am not sure if I should pull the connector straight back or something else?

gray bar down is "locked". try moving it as far as it will go in the opposite direction (or straight up?) then pull back/up.

That means it was unlocked when I started lol, OK will give that a try - Thanks!
