Chinzo,
I'm having the same issue with my Denali 2015 Feb manuf. date. A clunk noise from a stop to acceleration. How did you get your dealer to check and replace the Trans? I mentioned it to the dealer and so far they only did a software upgrade and shudder. Still have the noise.

Well took the Denali to the dealer for its oil/tire service. I told them about the clunky noise during acceleration.
Today they told me there is an issue with the 8 spd transmission and they placed an order for a new 8sp tranny. It's was nice that I didn't have to call the GM TAC line or argue about it. No hassle at all.

Just to follow up.. The new transmission was replaced. Everything working great. Clunk is gone, no lag durning acceleration and firm shifting.
All great for the 1st 1k miles. Today I went WOT and BAMMMMM there goes the trannsimisson. Limp back to the house which was near by. All gears are out. Reverse goes foward and it wont go into netural. Back to the dealer today.

Well, my truck has 60K now and what appears to be fixed (clunking noise) was replaced with jerking between gear-change issue. After transmission swap i was happy that noise was gone away but sudden jerk between gears is "Your car is learning your driving habits" problem now. Car was back to dealer several times to reset the "learning" but this is something I've learned to cope with now.

However past few months I've looked back and started to think about my return on investment with this vehicle and i think I've been ripped off. There are multiple issues with the vehicle, all that you know of already by now, but i'll just outline a few that i remember now:

- AC issues -does not cool, delicate balance of removing excess freon to fix the issue never worked multiple times

- Recalled Tires - Paid new set of tires only to find out few month later old set i had was recalled, out of pocket expense i cannot get back

- Overhead TV in 2nd row stopped working, we gently close it each time we use (about 100 times up and down) but now dealer tells me that i need $500 repair

- Window Molding Comes off, black decorative shiny plastic piece next to window (called applique) comes off, first round was hot glue, second round was replacement, third round was another replacement, it will come off again, i'm sure

- Heated seat replacement on drivers side, just quit working had to dealer replace

- Replaced Transmission when vehicle was new, this thread - basically 2nd "newly designed" transmission didn't do whole lot of magic.

- Knocking noise - vehicle has loose things everywhere, rattling knocking, and it all gets very quiet as soon as you pull into dealership for repairs

- Noise Cancelling headache/buffeting. Almost like riding an airplane. Ears gets plugged during takeoff and landing, makes me feel like taking a plane ride somewhere - kind a cool, but shouldn't be, only going 15min away to work :)

-3rd row seat crooked 40/60 bench seat tops are 1" in difference in height, told it was normal, find it funny

- Jerks in transmission shift, when coming to complete stop sometimes i feel like someone just rear ended me. When its cold in the morning reverse gear will engage after almost flooring the pedal. Learned to be patient and wait a few seconds for it to eventually start moving reverse

- Hard steering wheel when cold, when its cold outside I'm constantly wrestling with my steering wheel. I'm not weak by any physical standards, but i've been told that this is normal for type of steering motor that is built into the car.

- Turned off one time by itself while driving with my family. Almost got into ditch, gas was full, battery was connected, start button was not pressed, very enigmatic

- Climate control packs dust, almost like there are no cabin filter. Had to sign up with local car cleaning service, i wear suits and clean clothes mostly and never drive over dirt road nor drag dirt into my car. Noticed if you run the climate control it gets inside of the cabin very dirty. My vacuum cleaner is cleaner than my cabin.

- Climate control wants me to be warm. Even when its off it blows warm air, have to adjust to 60 degrees then turn off, but then AC kicks in. It doesn't understand off means OFF :)

- All the lights get condensation, no aftermarket bulbs, all OEM original first bulbs and never been dismounted, however condensation gets built in.

- Squeaky noise from bottom of the car when pressing brakes. Almost like metal stretching sound, comes and goes away.

- Navigation will randomly have you exiting highway for no reason

- Front display will flicker once a while

- Airbags might not deploy!? Yes that's what i've read on one of the recalls GM sent out, glad i didn't try that function

- While in reverse, sometimes rear camera will take a while to come on, sometimes it doesn't. I assume it just needs a break once in a while. :)

- v4 mode to save gas is horrible, turns luxury SUV into tractor. I didn't buy this vehicle to save on gas, but if it decides to save on gas for me - it should do it without me noticing it. My car speaks to me "Hey Master, look i'm saving on the gas, so hopefully you don't mind the rough ride"

- Park assist sensors sometimes will turn off on its own. I think it is pretty smart to automatically assume that i see the lawnmower in front of me. Rear traffic cross alert is afraid of light colored cars, i think, sometimes forget to alert. Obviously i learned to not to trust these systems, my sister in law also time to time forget to alert me about incoming traffic, so not much harm here.

I do thank GM for creating good bond between myself and dealer service guy that i deal with, since we literally have been talking almost every week for past 1 year and 11 months period that I own this vehicle. Get to know the guy very well, he recognizes my voice right away on the phone, he knows my busy schedule and when i like to make appointments. I don't want to sound too sarcastic, but this is all true. Matter of fact, i just got off the phone with him few minutes ago to pay my balance of $450 towards the 4 window applique they've fixed for me.

I have spent lots of money and effort to keep this vehicle going, but i think i'm at the end of my rope and will have to pull the plug on it. GM vehicles are nice roomy and offers good option for my family, but sometimes you gotta look back and evaluate what you've got. My evaluation is worth almost the same that of the dealer offered me for a trade in, unfortunately it is very low and I've seen lawnmowers hold its value better than that. I've been loyal GM customer for almost all my life and speak highly of my past vehicles, however 2015i Yukon XL didn't do the trick. I'm in process of talking with GM about possibility of buy back, and if all else fails i will have to go to lemon-law route. I'm willing to give GM another shot with Escalade and hopefully i don't get to know the service person all-too-well there.
