Code p03041 cam position sensor

So I just changed the crank position sensor with a new one from Autozone.. I put 2 of the 4, supplied spacers in it, greased up the o ring.. started the truck.. starts on the first crank like usual… idles smooth at 800rpms, oil pressure great.. let it idle for 5-8 minutes… not stumbling .. shut it off.. for 5min… restart.. runs great. Idle for another 2-3min and is fine again..

Took it down the street and back, ran fine.. pulled into the driveway.. put it in park, rev’d it to 2500… no stumbling or rough idle… no CEL, seems ok. Going to talk to my neighbor who owns a European auto repair and see if he has a scanner to check the cam retard to be sure where it’s at

Just an update, it was in fact the crank position sensor that had debris on it that made the cam sensor not know what the crank was doing. All is well now
