Are the single or Double Platinum AC Delco ok to use?

Yes, they're OK. As you can see in the bulletin above, that's actually what they recommend now for the older trucks. General consensus is that this was a cost saving measure for older vehicles (speculative). Most guys on here seem to stick with iridium.
