I used the WLED-x6s off superbrightleds, and have no hotspots. You won't need new twistlocks if thats what you wondering. You can just unplug the old ones and just put in the leds.
Hope this helps!:)

Interesting. In this thread, the guy recommended the single-LED version (in 120 degree beam angle):

I wonder if there's a material difference between the 6-LED ones like yours and the wide-angle single-LED? It's about $1.50 per light difference in price.

Which WLEDs do you have? The WLED-x is one LED. The WLED-x4 has 4 LEDs in the lamp; the x5 and x6 have 5 and 6 LEDs in each.

Wondering about the 3157 back up lights. I'm not sure why GM used dual-filament bulbs in those lights. Do both filaments light up or just one? If just one, it seems the 3157 would not necessarily use all of the LEDs in a back up light application.

I'm looking at the 25-LED replacements:
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-...n=DispPage&Page2Disp=/specs/3156_57_specs.htm

I wonder if using the 3157 (dual-filament replacement) would only use some of the LEDs while the 3156 (single filament replacement) would use all 25 of them?

Just did my led swap for the interior, sorry I didn't do this sooner. Only one question though, is there anyway our are they all, dim around the 50 mph mark? Any way to fix it?

Is it possible you got one LED in with reverse polarity?

Which brand & model LEDs did you use for the dash and in the door panels?

They are they cool white weld 6 from superbrightleds.com. I think its probably because I bought the cheaper ones, besides I want to change the now. I thought they were going to look bluish not purple. Oh well

Hmm. I think I may go with the SMD (surface mount) type LEDs instead of the WLEDs on mine and for my dad's '88. I was actually looking to do blue on mine but he just wants a brighter white for his. Not sure that cool white is what he's looking for. Maybe their "Natural White" would be better?

Your door panel lights look a lot whiter than the ones in the dash--are they the same, cool white?
