...and then you get coolant in the oil and trash your rod bearings.


$500 sounds reasonable for someone else doing the work. It can be done with simple hand tools, a weekend, and $100 in parts.

Pulled the trigger. Ended up being 785 for the intake manifold gasket change and a new radiator with a fluid flush. When they put everything back together the radiator was leaking so had to take care of that as well.
