Could we put all the buying, receiving and ordering posts in a separate category?

Would suggest the admins discussing how to handle posts when someone asks the forum about a vehicle accessory and gets tossed immediately to Interior or Exterior folders, which rarely get read. Its hard enough finding the information online, so we come here to ask the questions and get pushed into a sub-category. I get the purpose of organizing posts, but the general area is where 90% of the members log in and discuss. If every time I ask "does anyone know where to get a black exhaust tip" and it gets pulled from the general forum Ill never receive feedback. My suggestion is to let it sit for a week at least in the General before moving it if you feel thats necessary. Or just dont move it at all and allow questions to be asked in the general and statements/pictures/exterior/interior updates to be posted in the subcategories. My .02
I wouldn't mind those questions staying in general say a little bit longer, if it wasn't so bombarded by "Got a TPW today" and "My dealer won't talk to me" and "who sells at MSRP?"
There is a constant stream of waiting and new members asking and re asking the same things over and over. That would be sequestered if the 1st dividing line in General was pre and post delivery. I'd never look at the pre delivery one again, and 75% of the new general posts would go there. That would leave the rest of the area for issues and questions in generality that arise after delivery which new owners after the delivery process care more about...

So then what's the point of having categories at all? Why not just one free for all section? No one goes back more than one page so the same question gets asked every 5 days

If they had a question about the exterior of their vehicle, that's exactly why there is an exterior section. To go directly to that section and look for their answer before posting their question.

You’re missing the point. I agree with sub dividing I don’t consider a question like “where is the best place to buy exhaust tips” to be an exterior comment. I totally get being extremely literal and calling it that, but to me it’s a general question. Hence the “leave it for a week before you move it” suggestion. My guess would be if you look at the posts you move from general to these sub categories, the response on 90% of them is significantly lower than those that stay in the general forum.

Not trying to be a thorn. Just trying to help. I for one have asked a few questions already that have been moved and nobody sees them, so it’s sort of contradicting the value of coming to the forum in the first place.

I’ll drop it now. Do whatever you feel best.
