No, it runs down to the frame rail just below the tow hook, it is made for the Sierra/Silverado and will see if it can be made to work on ours. Old literature shows it being used on an Escalade.

That's a 2500 with a 2500 Sierra front end and hood, can be done to a half ton as well with same parts and some modifications.
