Okay I put a motor and tranny in roughly 10k miles ago. Couldn't get the timing just right the motor I purchased was just rebuilt for a drag truck so I'm not sure on specs. All I know it dynoed 350 hp. I put it in a 94 full size blazer

Well I had an issue getting the timing right I had to run it a little rich to keep it from getting sluggish. I'm running headers with straight pipes so I expected the check engine light to be on so no biggie.

Well the I had a wheel bearing go out and the truck stayed parked for 2 months fired up occasionally. One day I decided to finally fix it so I went to load it up on the trailer to take it back to my house, it had trouble cranking as the battery was dead which was expected. Then once I finally got it running it had a REALLY rough idle.

Well I put it in gear and bam cut off. After that it took at least 60 seconds or cranking and holding the gas down to fire up and even then it idled terrible and smelled like raw fuel.

So I replaced some stuff thinking it would clear it up

EGR valve
Tps
Cts
Map sensor
New injectors
Distributor
Ignition

I'm putting new plugs and wires on tomorrow which fouled badly.
I purchased a new fuel pump thinking mine was weak I haven't put it on yet.
Also putting a new knock sensor on it.
Changed the oil it smelled like gas but wasn't discoloured.

I need some help here it won't even run now.

its carberated im assuming? 4 barrel carb? and do you live in a really cold climate?
its possible you just need to adjust yer carberator if you smell lots of gas yer mixture is to lean

a motorcycle i had years ago here in az would run awsome in the summer but then november december came around on a cold morning itd start but wouldnt idle i always had ot adjust the idle on the carb

im kinda confused cuz he said he had to "run it a little rich" so im thinken maybe its carbed
and then i see hes replaced stuff thats clearly for a electronic fuel injection

That's what I'm confused about?? And a 94 with a MAF? They only had MAP on them maybe small confusion. If efi then you'll need a tune for that engine because it is most likely nowhere near the same as the stock tune. That and a fuel pressure regulator for the TBI would help resolve the air to fuel problem your having. As far as cutting out as it is doing does it idle when it starts or does it try to rev up on it's own?

LOL yeah MAF on a 94 sounds like he put in a 350 built for the track
he said it has a strong gas smell so that tells me lean mix or possibly a miss
id prolly spray carb cleaner in the intake see if that keeps it from dying
if it were a carb id turn the idle up some

Sorry didn't put a maf in it lol. And it's tbi and I had to run the timing advanced. I live in va so climate shouldn't have anything to so with it. It won't even fire now. It turns over acts like it's trying then eventually my battery just dies.

when you turn the key on listen for the fuel pump wine yer fuel pump mite have shit the bed
and you already got a new one
also what voltage is yer battery holding ?
and id prolly change out the fuel filter while yer at it there cheap and easy to replace

yes the weather wouldnt have anything to do with it if its fuel injected but i wasnt sure if it was carbed or injected carberators have to be adjusted for cold weather and altitude

It was originally carbed but I wanted quick starts and slightly better economy so I swapped intakes and went back to tbi. I got my wife to hit the key while I listened for the pump it primed like it was supposed to but sounded weak to me so I'll drop that tonight. The battery is toast from all the cranking so I'm swapping it out mines under warranty.
