I have had an ongoing issue with my infotainment screen...gm has had it at least 5x to try and resolve the issue. I first went in for a blacked out infotainment screen. They said screen is pooched. They tried jumping it to hmi and nothing. So got another Installed. They claimed it was electric resistance. OK so screen goes in now it's goes on then blacks out. They jump it to hmi module. It works. So they say it's the 4 way cord. Can't get this cord it's discontinued. Dealership tries gm tries. I finally sourced one out. They replace that. Well that didn't work. So they go through steps. They disconnect the cord that goes from the dvd to the screen ok the screen works so they says it the dvd. Replace dvd. Nope still same issue. And ever since they disconnect the cord from the screen it will work however... it will do funky thing like go all jumpy, when it's all jumpy if u put in reverse the camera doesn't work it goes scrambley really bad or black out, it change screens on it own and send the radio station info over to my dic.and will periodically have no response on the screento touch . So they tried writing it differently so that the dvd player isn't involved with the screen at all...still having issues. I said from day 1 that it's the hmi module...they said no. Now they think the bipass module is the issue. The dealership can't figure out the problem and at this point the screen cord and dvd have all been changed. What could it be the module or bipass module? It thew a code of video communication error or something to that degree. I'm so frustrated it's been at gm for more hours than I can count. Anyone have same or similar issue
