I'll give you one little tip. If you ever do get things sort of resolved. Do not do any more updates.
Unfortunately I didn't have any done until there was a problem. Still working through the lane departure. To pay $80k plus for a vehicle, then never update it under warranty is not sound advice, it needs to be dealt with under warranty, do after warranty and it's on your dime, not theirs.

If this is about the “Data Gateway Module” recall?

I had my 2024 Tahoe in for that and it took hours and way longer than I expected. So far I haven’t had any issues but did have to re sign in for some apps. Also I did notice some weird stuff happening when I approached the locked truck with fob on me - some lights going on but I didn’t notice this before, maybe it did but it seems new.
All of my issues came from this recall. Bluetooth calls now sound static- and are super quiet. Got a new radio installed last friday. NO LUCK. They said ther is a bulletin out for it but no solution in sight!

Wow, that sucks!
Fortunately I haven’t had any audio quality issues. It doesn’t seem to cause any issues besides the fact I had to reconnect via bluetooth on my phone and sign in to google maps.
Otherwise I haven’t had any problems.

The biggest deal for me was the time it required. I was told about an hour and a half - I got a ride home and came back 3 hours later and still had to wait over 30 minutes. My dealership is usually pretty good with the time frame they give me but this “over the air update” took over 3 hours

Is the update everyone's complaining about the most recent one?

Just got an email from Chevy saying my 2023 Suburban requires an update and I have to take it to the dealership...

I had an issue the other day that the radio was playing and didnt turn off when I switched over to Android Auto to listen to Pandora. Disconnected Bluetooth and still present. Turned the AT4 off at a red light and problem resolved. #Odd

The one that caused the issue for me was Y171, the latest is Y172, and some also have a recall on an update for a module. .

To be honest, I do not recall seeing any notifications about an update in a long time. They used to popup when they were pushed about needing to be installed/applied.

Do you notice anything different or is it all behind the scenes updates?
No…but I already had Y172 on my radio.

So the serial data gateway module update just took care of staying powered up after the update…you would notice no more battery drain, but not everyone had this issue.

The Y172 update took care of a few annoying bugs, and comes along for the ride on this one…
