I am going to step down from 22s to 20s. Want to go with a more aggressive thicker sidewall tire and lower offset wheel. What I would like to go with is a 20x9. What et is recommended for a 305/50 on a stock suspension? Or would an alternative size work better for a wheel of let's say...et18 as place to start.

Maybe looking at a front end level for this setup?

Thanks in advance.

Are you going to use an off road 305/50 tire? If so you are going to rub quite a bit more than with the same size Nitto 420S because of the deeper tread. So a level is probably the way to go there. In fact you might be able to go even a little bigger depending on the leveling kit, but I've never done this so hopefully someone who has knows what's the max you can fit.

As far as offset, obviously at 18 you're going to be pushing out your wheels/tires more than stock, but I'm guessing that looks better with a more off road setup.

I was gonna keep this hush hush till I had everything in hand so I wouldnt be teasing the people while we wait but I just ordered 305/50r20 Toyo open country AT2s on 20x9 +18mm KMC addicts for our 07 yukon xl AWD on monday from treaddepot. I also have the Bilstein RHA 5100s for the 1.75 lift in front ( and some 3.9ohm 25 watt resistors to fix any light ) along with belltech 1" pucks for the rear ( nervous they wont be enough since it sits very level stock )

So Im in the same boat as you but I wont be much help till it gets here and get it all installed to see how well it fits ( or how much hacksaw ) .
