Crossmember Bolt Part Number - 2012 Yukon Denali XL 1500

I am about to replace the transfer case on my 2012 Yukon Denali XL 1500. To do this, I will need to remove the crossmember that supports the transmission. It has two large bolts on the drivers and passengers side. On drivers side, the inner bolt will hit the transfer case so it will probably need cut. On the passenger side, one or both bolts will hit the catalytic converter so both will probably need cut.

I want to proactively buy replacement bolts but cannot find the part number or bolt spec anywhere. I"m pretty sure that it is a M14 bolt and I see on the head that it is Grade 10.9 but that is all I have figured out. They're very long; overly long because shorter ones would come out without extraordinary measures.

Can anyone provide the P/N or specs for these bolts so that I can get them ordered?

I have removed these same bolts from my 2007 and had no issues with the bolts hitting anything. Wonder if they switched things up between 2007 and 2012.

Are these the ones you are looking for? 126mm = 4.96".

i take it you have not even researched how-to?
the y pipe comes out, the bolts do not get cut

Hey Wes. I'm trying really hard not to take out the y-pipe which entails removing one or both 02 sensors plus you know the three bolts that connect the y to the exhaust manifolds will be rusted, probably break off, and create their own nightmare. If the darned bolts were installed with the heads on the forward side of the crossmember, removal would not be an issue.

I saw those bolts but was not sure if they are the proper ones. Size looks right but was really hoping that somebody had a definite correct part number.

this guy backyarded the transmission out, the y-pipe was previously cut not sure if this video helps you out

Go to GMPartsDirect.com, enter your VIN, go to the Body section, and look for the exploded diagram of the cross member assembly. You should find what you are looking for along with the correct part number. And, the cost will be significantly cheaper than the local dealer.

I just went out and pulled one of the bolts out of the crossmember. They are M14 bolts x 165 mm. I don't know thread size but suspect that they are 2.0 and the bolt is Grade 10.9. There is a shoulder (washer like feature) under the bolt head and the nut also has a shoulder. The bolt has 70mm of threads leaving a 90mm shank. I guess that I can go onto McMaster Carr and order something close but would really rather buy the correct GM
P/N.

Joseph - I went to GM Parts Direct.com and no luck finding the bolt. The exploded parts diagram shows the body mount bolts, shows the crossmember, but does not show the bolts for the crossmember. I clicked on the crossmember thinking that it would have the bolts included but they are not shown.

I have figured out that they are M14 x 2.0 x 165 Grade 10.9 bolts
