Interesting. Well I grabbed a scanner while it wasn't working and it had a brake switch low voltage code with the new switch in. Cleared the code and it worked. Must be a bad one out of the box

Best bet is to replace the switch.
I'm having the same problem 08 yukon Denali replaced brake light switch not sure what else to do?well what a pain in the ass. I replaced the clockspring but that did not fix the cruise. Now what? I guess its possible the actual switch on the steering wheel is bad. When I turn the cruise on by pushing the button it lights up but maybe the button for "set" is not working. Anyone have any other ideas?
I replaced mine still don't work,is there adjustment to it. Doesn't appear to beMy '07 Denali had inop cruise control when I bought it. I replaced the brake switch a few days ago and it's been working ever since.
I would suggest everyone with inop cruise try replacing the switch first. The AC Delco part is $12 on Amazon and took me about 20 minutes start to finish with no idea what I was doing, so you're not taking a big risk even if it doesn't fix it.
Also worth noting, I read a few comments about how hard it was to get to the switch because of the confined space it's in... I'm 6'6", 300 lbs, and had no issue getting in there to change the switch, so don't believe any "You need to hire a little person to do it" claims you read.
I'm not aware of any adjustment for it, sorry. Does the yellow power light on the cruise on/off button on your steering wheel come on and the cruise just won't set, or is the light not illuminating at all?I replaced mine still don't work,is there adjustment to it. Doesn't appear to be
