pillar is better for stage/image usually. different components perform differently, and nobody has the same set of ears so its kind of whatever makes you happy. personally i prefer to have the tweeters higher in the cabin, so typically the pillars are a great location. the bose pillars have the tweeters in about the ideal position for what i like.
Cool. Thanks for that. I'm actually planning to replace my speakers soon too but in the stock location.
Now for my next question. Why 2 sets of components in the front? Does it give a fuller sound? And wont that produce crazy highs?
Just asking because I'm learning and tryng to understand setups.

I wouldn't say it gives a fuller sound, it's just gonna make your overall max volume louder. And if you have a lot of upgraded speakers and no sobwoofers, yes it would be wayyy too much highs. But if you have a lot of bass it won't be to much highs. My new subwoofer I'm gonna be running in the PWK Designs box is a 15" putting out 1,100watts of RMS power. It's gonna be LOUD haha

Progress update

Hey guys. I finally got everything in my hands for the build. So much stuff to install that I need a helper almost cuz I'm getting just a lil burnt out lol

I also have 3 sheets of 3/4' MDF board to build the new sub box and amp racks. Well it looks like I better start working on this project some more and quite procrastinating lol

Making progress. I got one door 90% done. Just needs to be wrapped in fabric and that door will be done. I like how everything turned out.

I finished up the doors today. Got everything wrapped in black suede. I used a few screws on the front door pods because they're kinda heavy with 2 speakers and didn't wanna risk them falling out from the doors slamming over time.

Now I need to start making the amp rack and subwoofer box and run all the new wiring (the fun part) haha

Made some progress today and designed my amp rack for under the rear seat. I got all the molex plugs dremeled out and ready so I'm gonna run all the new speaker wire tomorrow and the new runs of 0ga back to the amp rack.
