Cutting advised?

Im debating on cutting the resonator off and just leaving as is, that damn thing looks horrendous.

Anyone experience exhaust fumes in the cab with this?

Is it too loud or add too much drone in the cab?

Where should the cut be made?

Will an exhaust shop be able to apply a chrome/black tip off the cut pipe?

You could always go with the SLP tip & resonator delete option. The tip itself is about $116.96 if I remember correctly. You just cut the pipe before the resonator, attach this pipe & tip and your finished. No welding required. It'll give your truck a nice rumble & it's a rather attractive tip if I do say so myself.

i removed the resonator off my truck about two weeks ago and put a nice dual tip from flowmaster. the look is way better and it also has a lil deep sound. nothing noticable inside the cab though... in my opinion, go ahead and do it!

Subtle change in sound, but big change in looks. Just cut off and put a good tip on.

SLP kit was $95 and I installed it in 20 minutes. Looks WAY better and sounds moderately better without drone. No brainer......

I'm thinking about doing this mod, but my truck is all blacked out. Does anyone make a black tip?
I cant have that be the only silver on the entire truck...

I cut mine off right after the resonator, very minimal change in sound..if any.

get the SLP or just go to a muffler shop and have them hack off the can and weld a tip on. Popular mod for a lot of NNBS owners on this board.
