Cv axle not long enough?

Just put a front 1.5 and rear 2 leveling kit on and a cv axle just shit out on me I brought it to the mechanic and he said that my cv axle is not long enough and if I put stock ones in it will bite me in the ass has anyone else had this problem

Post up pics. Never heard of the CV axle being too short in this situation but normally it is that leveling kits put them at enough of an angle that they will fail especially if they are older.

I have never done a lift on GM pickup but you can buy spacers for this exact application. I have also read where others recommend a NNBS CV shaft replacement as they are longer

Like Yates said, rare for the front axle to fail on a "leveled" application such as yours. Further diagnosis may be called for unless that particular axle was already on its way out & the added stress of the increased lift was that last shovel full of dirt to make the grave just-so.
